In the summer of 2004, the manga having exceeded 100 million cumulative sales in Japan, the author Takehiko Inoue wanted to send a message of thanks to his readers.
 
"Slam Dunk 100 Million Book Thanksgiving Final Event" is an event that was held only for three days at the former Misaki Prefectural High School of Kanagawa Prefecture in December 2004.
At this event Inoue drew a short chalkboard Slam Dunk story entitled "10 Days After", the photos of these illustrations were then printed in this book.
 
It had been 8 years since the end of Slam Dunk, and since it was a very limited 3-day event, this temporary artwork, drawn on boards, became a legend among fans. The book has a very large format of 30 x 42cm. An English translation of the dialogues is present at the end of the book.
